Guests at the 2007 Fair Shake
held at Hollywood's Knitting Factory

The Fourth Annual Fair Shake was held on June 14, 2007 at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood. The evening was hosted by the Advisory Board of WCLP, a group of young professionals who have joined together to support the mission of WCLP. The event was created by the Board to introduce their peers to the work of WCLP and, at the same time, to honor "unsung heroes" who are making a difference in the lives of the poor. The 2007 honorees were both unsung (neither had ever been acknowledged for the work they are doing) and definitely heroes: David Levinson (founder of Big Sunday) and Connie Yost (founder of Earthworks), who both work to give low-income people a fair shake.

The Fifth Annual Fair Shake is planned for June 19, 2008 at Falcon in Hollywood. For information about the Fair Shake, please contact Aman Thind at athind@wclp.org or call 487-7211 x2638.

The Western Center on Law & Poverty and the Advisory Board thank the following for the generous support of the 2007 Fair Shake:
