Assembly Holds November CalWORKs Hearing

Assemblywoman Mitchell, chairwoman of the Assembly Budget Subcommittee One, has announced a hearing on CalWORKs to held in Sacramento on November 3rd. Western Center on Law and Poverty will be among those testifying on the status of basic needs grants and work programs for California's poorest families.

Topic: “CalWORKs: Program Overview, Recipients and Current Status”

Date: Thursday, November 3^rd, 2011

Time: 1:30 – 4:00 with time for public testimony at the end

Where: CA State Capitol, Room 126
