End of Session Update & Action Alert - Health and Human Services
09/02/2010

 August 31st, was the last day of the 2010 regular legislative session.  Click here to view a legislative update with the actions taken on legislation pertaining to health and human services over the past two weeks and learn about bills Western Center is sponsoring or supporting that will need to be signed by the Governor by September 30, 2010. 
 
Although the regular legislative session has come to a close, the single most important health and human services bill, the budget, has yet to be passed.  Western Center and our partners are working diligently to ensure passage of a budget that does not harm Californians with low-incomes.  To stay abreast of California budget advocacy, click here to sign up for budget alerts from the Health and Human Services Network.
